Pure Wool Cranky Socks handcranked on a circa 1910 Circular Sock Machine.
Coming up with a name for these socks was easy.. if you’ve ever been up country in the red dirt you know how sticky that stuff is. We hand dyed this pair with Earth Pallette dyes and loved the reminder of how our socks looked after a day in the dirt up in the wild & mesmerising outback of Australia. The pair in the picture is a size 8-10 Ladies, but we can hand dye a pair in your preferred size, keeping in mind that they will be same same but different. Every pair of Cranky socks is unique. They measure 22cm from the heel to leg cuff coming up to mid calf on most.
The sock yarn comprises 75% superwash Australian wool/ 25% nylon and the sock is knitted with lycra thread for durability and comfort.
Warm in winter & will draw the moisture away in summer.
Easy machine wash on warm gentle cycle but they will last even longer if hand washed in tepid water. Don't be tempted to put in the dryer.
